The Premio Arce Foundation was created in 1990 aiming to promote research and capacity building in agricultural sciences. It is hosted in the Agricultural Engineeering School of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain). Dr. Ana Iglesias has been associated to the Foundation since 1997. Dr. Ana Iglesias research focuses on the spatial interactions of agriculture with climate and agricultural management adaptations. She has been involved in agro-climatological evaluations, development of crop functions using mechanistic crop models, and assessment of water availability for agriculture.
