The main work lines are: hydric soil erosion; geomorphological, hydrological and ecological processes in mediterranean semiarid environment; monitoring and evaluation of sediment yield and overland flow in badlands areas; spatial and temporal variability analysis of semiarid climate; modelling of semiarid mediterranean rainfall; interceptation of rainfall by the vegetation cover; land use changes responses; environmental impact by the land abandoned; desertification processes and indicators; identifying of environmental sensitivity areas to desertification; modelling of semiarid mediterranean environmental processes. Most of the research carried out is based on GIS tools. The GIS programs used are ArcInfo and Idrisi on Windows O.S. and GRASS on Unix O.S.
